In South Africa, too many Greyhounds are trapped in a heartbreaking cycle of exploitation. They are bred in backyards, often until the mothers are frail and starved from litter after litter. Many are forced into illegal hunting and poaching where they suffer untreated injuries, neglect and hunger. When they are no longer useful, they are discarded and replaced by yet another overbred dog.

This cruelty is hidden in rural corners of our country, yet its impact is devastating. The Greyhounds endure harsh conditions, poor nutrition, and confinement in small spaces. Some are deliberately starved to make them more aggressive for hunting.

Through Senya Pet Couture, we not only design elegant, handcrafted pieces for beloved pets, but we also strive to create awareness about this crisis. Every product and every story shared carries our hope that by shining a light on the plight of Greyhounds, more people will support us as we break the cycle of abuse.
